Besides the main adventure, "Assassin's Creed III" has a parallel story in multiplayer, with monthly episodes and extra challenges designed by Ubisoft.
"As the game progresses and develops your character, you will have access to files and videos. Every month you will have new challenges to unlock new content and that the story will continue throughout the year," explained Damien Kieken, director of the game, at site Computer and Videogames.
The story mentioned by Kieken is related to the laboratory Abstergo, Animus machine that turned into a commercial product capable of selling dreams "relive the past in high definition." In multiplayer the player controls one of these "consumers" of the Animus.
The multiplayer of "Assassin's Creed III" will feature options for climate change effects such as bringing blizzards and storms for the matches.
About the game modes, Ubisoft said that the players have access to options like Domination, where two quartets struggle to capture zones, and Wolfpack, in which up to four players join forces to tackle computer-controlled enemies.
American Revolution
In production for over three years, "Assassin's Creed III" takes place during the American Revolution in the late eighteenth century, and is starring a young assassin named Ratohnhaké: ton, who also goes by the nickname Connor.
The game uses the graphics engine called AnvilNext, new version of the engine that debuted in the first "Assassin's Creed" in 2007. In the first trailer released you can see Connor using traditional parkour movements that have become a trademark of the series, but between branches and trunks of trees - more organic and irregular environments than many cities seen in previous titles.
"Assassin's Creed III" comes out on 30/10 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The PC edition will arrive a little later, on November 20. The game will also have a version for Wii U, still no release date set.
