Putting more fuel to the fire over the successors to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Frank Gibeau, president of Electronic Arts, said in an interview with Bloomberg that video games will hit stores "in about a year."
"The new games will arrive in about a year. We are in that period where the market starts to get slower and then you have a new game that promises to change everything with a new technology, a new console and another period of growth," explained Gibeau.
The executive did not reveal details about the new games, but said during Gamescom this year that has seen the two consoles and that at the moment, the industry is already living the transition period to the next platform.
